Two women gave birth daily in Yaripora block in south Kashmir

Srinagar, Apr 17 (UNI) At an average of two women gave birth daily in Yaripora block where 200 patients were treated everyday under National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) in south Kashmir.

An official spokesman said as many as 814 deliveries were conducted in the block during last year.

He said that 75,000 patients were treated while 794 ultra Sonography and 390 X-Rays taken and 2120 major and minor operations performed in the block during the period. Besides, 5372 laboratory tests were also conducted.
