Grievances committee serving soldiers, ex-servicemen

Chandigarh, Apr 16 (UNI) The Chandigarh Administration has constituted a grievances committee for monitoring grievances of the serving soldiers, ex-servicemen and their dependents.

Deputy Commissioner will be the chairman and Zila Sainik Welfare Officer would be the secretary of the committee.

The members of the committee include Senior Superintendent of Police, Additional Commissioner, MC, Chandigarh, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Assistant Estate Officer, Joint Secretary Home, Representative from Station HQ Chandimandir, DPI (Colleges), DPI (Schools), Secretary Chandigarh Housing Board and XEN (HQ) from Engineering Department.

As per the notification issued by the Chandigarh Home Department all complaints and grievances will be routed through the Chandigarh Zila Sainik Welfare Officer.

The progress of each application would be maintained by Zila Sainik Welfare Officer. A monthly progress report will be submitted to the Zila Sainik Welfare Office giving details of progress on pending cases for keeping centralised records of progress.
