Soha pleads not guilty in weapon case, hearing on Apr 25
Gurgaon, Apr 9 (UNI) Actress Soha Ali Khan today pleaded before the Gurgaon administration that she was not guilty in a case related to issuance of an arms licence to her when she was under-age and its misuse by her father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi.
The administration, meanwhile, fixed April 25 for her personal hearing in the case.
Deputy Commissioner Gurgaon Rakesh Gupta said Soha Ali, in reply to a show-cause notice issued to her, had pleaded that she was not guilty for ''preparation'' of arms licence while she was under-age.
The Deputy Commissioner said after receiving her reply on the show cause notice, the administration gave Soha an opportunity of personal hearing on April 25 to plead her case regarding the issuance of the weapon and its misuse by her father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi.
In the show-cause notice, the administration had also asked her to explain as to how her licensed weapon was used by her father Nawab Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi in the black buck poaching case.
In her reply to the notice, Soha also demanded the photo copies of documents attached with her application for issuance of the weapon under the Right to Information Act (RTI) and requested the administration give her a chance of personal hearing before reaching a final decision.
Mr Gupta said the attested copies of documents demanded by Soha would be sent to her along with the letter of information regarding her personal hearing.
Besides, she herself or her authorised representative would also be allowed to inspect the record in City Magistrate's office before the date of personal hearing, he added.
