Four Lankans reach Dhanuskodi coast in TN

Ramanathapuram, Apr 9 (UNI) Four Sri Lankan nationals, including a child reached the Dhanuskodi coast here in the wake of fierce battle between the Lankan forces and LTTE.

Officials sources said the Lankans, hailing from Kilinochi in the Island nation arrived with the help of a clandestine boat operator after paying Rs 40,000 yesterday.

After preliminary investigations by Tamil Nadu Intelligence and Revenue officials, they were sent to the Special Refugee Camp at Mandapam.

Meanwhile, five more Sri Lankans from Colombo and Yalpanam, who arrived in Tamil Nadu recently with valid documents, after registering their names with the authorities were accomodated in the refugee camp, the sources added.
