Three killed, several injured in separate road accidents
Bangalore, Apr 7 (UNI) Three persons, including a woman, were killed and 55 others injured, several of them seriously, in three road accidents in Karnataka, since last night.
Police said two persons were charred to death and four others sustained burns near Ilkal in Bagalkot district when three trucks collided with each other, caught fire and were reduced to ashes, late last night.
The injured were admitted to the Bagalkot hospital. Vehicular traffic on the Pune-Bangalore national highway was affected for hours following the incident.
In another incident, a woman was killed and 16 people were injured when a KSRTC bus hit a road-side tree near Gubbi in Tumkur district, last night. The injured were admitted to Tiptur, Tumkur and Gubbi hospitals.
In Mandya district, about 35 people were injured when a Bangalore-bound KSRTC but hit another State Government bus near Hirisave-Nagamangala road in the district, this morning.
