One arrested with 5.5 kg charas in Udhampur
Jammu, Apr 7 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police arrested one person and recovered from him 5.5 kilograms of charas, in Udhampur district, some 70 kilometres from here, official sources today said.
A narcotics smuggler was apprehended by the police at a Nakka laid down at Kral Nullah near Kud on Jammu-Srinagar national highway in Udhampur district.
''The passengers travelling in a bus were frisked by the police in which one person identified as Raju, a resident of Raipur Satwari was arrested while he was carrying charas from Srinagar to Jammu,'' police sources told UNI.
However, the contraband was seized and the accused was taken into custody, they said.
