BJP urges Left to withdraw support to 'facilitate' early LS poll
Lucknow, Apr 7 (UNI) Dubbing the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre as an 'utter failure' on every front, BJP National President Rajnath Singh today urged the Left parties to withdraw support from the government to 'facilitate' an early Parliament election.
''I seek to allay apprehension of the Left that the BJP would make any effort to form its government in the eventuality of support withdrawal,'' he told reporters here this evening.
Mr Singh said the BJP was well prepared to go to the people and urged the Left parties to withdraw support on moral grounds as the UPA had failed miserably on all counts specially on price control.
The withdrawl a of support would only facilitate an early poll which the Congress, Left and other allies would like to defer in view of the pitiable conditions the UPA government was in at the moment, the BJP chief said. ''I am sure the UPA dispensation cannot muster courage to have an early Lok Sabha polls which would take place at the scheduled time next year,''he added.
Mr Singh said the Congress and its allies had come to realise that the days of the UPA government were numbered as it had lost people's faith with steep rise in price line which had made life difficult for the people of the country.
