Man slapped with 10 yr RI for raping minor

Pilibhit, Apr 5 (UNI) A local court had awarded 10 yr rigorous imprisonment to a youth accused of gang raping a minor girl in Bisalpur area of the district.

According to prosecution, Saleem Khan, Fayeemuddin and Ashiq Hussain had abducted a girl and took her to Panipat in Haryana, where they outraged her modesty.

On the basis of testimony and circumstantial evidence, Fast Track Court (I) Judge Satish Kumar Attri Convicted Saleem, besides imposing a penalty of Rs 5,000.

However, the case of two other accused was pending before a juvenile court, Bareilly, as they were minor.
