Body of a policeman recovered from government quarter in Patna

Patna, Mar 31 (UNI) The body of a policeman was recovered from a government quarter located in 4-strand road under Sachivalaya police station area here today.

Deputy police superintendent Sridhar Mandal said here that the two policeman--Ram Murti Rai and Annu Bhagat were deputed to guard the vacant quarter which was earlier vacated by judge.

''The body of policeman Ram Murti Rai was recovered from the quarter'', Mr Mandal said adding it had been sent for autopsy. The reason behind the death of the policeman could be confirmed only after the receipt of autopsy report he added.

He,however, said that the incident did not appear to be a case of murder as Mr Rai was indisposed for the last two to three days.
