2 ex-naxals decamp with arms, ammunition in Gondia
Nagpur, Mar 30 (UNI) Two former naxalites have decamped with arms and ammunition from the storeroom of a police station in Gondia district in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, the police said today.
According to the police, the two former naxalites, identified as Shyamlal Khurche and Arjun, had surrendered in 2006 and 2007. The two broke open the lock on the storeroom of Deori police station, near Gondia, late last night, and decamped with two AK-47 rifles, 7 magazines and a hand-grenade.
They borrowed a motorcycle from an employee of the department to get away, the police said. The motorcycle was found abandoned.
