Congress demands action in communal violence case
Bhopal, Mar 29 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee has demanded action against those responsible for causing damage to the houses and other properties of minority community people at Rajgarh district's Sarangpur town recently.
In a memorandum handed to Governor Balram Jakhar here today a delegation led by MPCC President Suresh Pachouri expressed concern over the incident allegedly perpetrated under the supervision of Municipal Council President.
''More than 132 cases relating to communal tension were reported during the BJP rule,'' claimed Mr Pachouri.
He said seven people were injured in the attack on a minority community's procession during Rangpanchami at Sarangpur.
''Communal violence occured in Neemuch, Sironj, Ratlam and Barwani districts where the houses and other properties of the minority people were damaged,'' he added.
