Nabard gives Rs 7.21 cr to Mizoram
Aizawl, Mar 28(UNI) National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has sanctioned Rs 7.21 crore under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF)-XIII to Mizoram minor irrigation department for implementation of 17 new and 12 ongoing drinking water projects in the state.
The total cost of the projects is Rs 12.46 crore of which NABARD has sanctioned RIDF loan of Rs 7.21 crore, the balance amount being met by the government of Mizoram, a NABARD source said today.
An amount of Rs 15.12 crore for construction of road from Muallungthu to Khumtung has also been sanctioned under RIDF-XIII to the state government for implementing the same by the Mizoram public works department, the source said.
