NCR to have one colour code buses
Lucknow, Mar 27 (UNI) The old dispute between Uttar Pradesh and New Delhi over transportation seems to have resolved a bit with the plying of one colour code buses in the National Capital Region (NCR).
These buses would be called Computer buses, Principal Secretary (Transport) Desh Deepak Verma informed here today.
The area would have same amount of tax. The state buses would be allowed to enter Haryana on similar agreement as with the Delhi government.
Under the agreement, Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) will cover 1,45,000 km in UP and NCR, while UP State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) buses will be allowed to run 40,000 km in Delhi.
Now, UPSRTC buses will ply in six additional routes in Delhi, including Nehru Place-Mehrauli Airport, CGO Complex-Shivaji Stadium, Shivaji Stadium-New Delhi Railway Station, Ananad Vihar Bus Terminal-Shadara and Bhajanpura-Kashmiri Gate.
