Bus on way to Vaishno Devi falls in gorge: 30 injured

Etawah, Mar 27 (UNI) As many as 30 pilgrims sustained injuries, six of them serious, after their speeding bus overturned and fell in a gorge in Ekdil area here today.

The bus was en route from Chitrakoot to Vaishno Devi, police said.

The accident occurred near Vivari Ashram, when driver fell asleep and the bus fell into a gorge.

Hearing the shouts of the injured, local residents came to the help of the passengers.

Meanwhile, senior police and administrative officials reached the spot and admitted the wounded to hospital.

The passengers are said to be the residents of Jharkhand.
