No night power cuts during annual examinations in Punjab

Chandigarh, Mar 25 (UNI) There will be no power cuts in the night hours in Punjab during the annual examinations of the Universities scheduled to commence next month.

This assurance was given by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal in the state Assembly while replying to a question by Iqbal Singh Jhunda (Ind) who pointed out that the frequent power cuts during night hours were hampering the preparation of the students for the examinations.

Mr Badal said that instructions in this regard would be issued to the Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB).
