HC to UP govt: Suspened former LDA Vice-Chairperson
Lucknow, Mar 25 (UNI) Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court today directed the Uttar Pradesh government to suspend former Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) Vice-Chairperson Harbhajan Singh in a contempt of court case.
The HC also summoned Mr Singh on April 1, the next hearing date.
The order was passed by a bench comprising Justice Tarun Agarwal on a contempt petition filed by Jitendra Mohan.
The HC had earlier summoned Mr Singh in a land case, but neither did he appear before the bench nor presented any clarification.
Taking serious note of his non-presence, the court ordered the state government to suspended the former LDA Vice-Chairperson with immediate effect.
