Brother of Shiv Sena leader murdered in Haryana

Jagadhri, Mar 23 (UNI) A man was allegedly stabbed to death while another person was injured in the town during the Holi festivities yesterday, police today said.

According to the police, Ashish Kumar, a resident of Professors Colony here was stabbed to death by one Vikrant Tayagi while another person, identified as Inder, sustained injuries and was admitted to a hospital.

The deceased was the brother of Naveen Kumar, district president of the Shiv Sena.

Personal rivalry was stated to be the motive behind the crime.

The police has registered a case against Tyagi, who is absconding.

In a separate incident, the police recovered the dead body of a farm labourer in Ratangarh village. The body of the victim, identified as Ram Dayal, bore wounds inflicted by a sharp edged weapon. Police has registered a case.
