TN govt appoints Karunasagar as new DIG - Crime Branch

Chennai, Mar 22 (UNI) In a minor reshuffle of IPS officers, the Tamil Nadu government today posted Karunasagar as the new DIG of the Crime Branch-CID, the leading investigation wing of the state police.

An official release here said Mr Karunasagar, hitherto DIG Training-II, has come in place of A M S Gunaseelan, who was already transferred and posted as DIG, Administration.

G Umaganapathy Sastry, IG, EOW (Financial Institutions) was transferred and posted as IG, Railways.

The government also transferred DIG P Thamaraikannan from Chief Vigilance Officer, Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producer's Federation Limited (AAVIN) and posted him as DIG, Police Training-I.

Vijayakumar IG, was posted in place of Mr Sastry, the release added.
