Governor, CM extend greetings on Holi
New Delhi, Mar 21 (UNI) Lt Governor Tejendra Khanna and Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit have extended warm greetings to people on the occasion of Holi, the Festival of colours.
In his message, the Lt Governor said Holi symbolised the multi-hued unity in diversity of the country.
The festival "helps us forget all differences and inhibitions and promote the spirit of unity, love, compassion and camaraderie, he said.
While wishing all a Happy Holi, Ms Dikshit hoped that the colourful and festive occasion will help build mutual amity and friendship.
She appealed to people to celebrate Holi in most dignified manner and make use of natural colours only. She expressed hope that festival of colours would strengthen the bonds of co-existence.
