Orissa boy wins top prize at Port Angels
Kendrapara, Mar 19 (UNI) A class nine student of Kendrapara has won the first prize in the 7th International Annual Children's Mangroove Art competition held at Port Angels.
Basudev Ojha, a student of M.N.High School, Pattamundai, bagged the prize for portraying the mangrove forest of Bhitarakanika National Park of Kendrapara.
This year around 1500 children from 22 nations, where mangrove are found, participated in the contest organized by the USA-based Mangrove Action Project (MAP) at Port Angels.
Ojha said the mangroves, crocodile, endangered Olive Ridley turtles and migratory birds figured in his paintings.
