Congress leader killed by Maoist ultras

Bokaro, Mar 19 (UNI) CPI(Maoist) cadres killed a local Congress leader in a forest under Nawadih police station in this district.

Deputy Inspector General Anurag Gupta said here today that about 60 armed ultras attacked the house of the victim, Jairam Mahto, late last night and axed him to death, charging that he had been working as a police informer.

The ultras later dumped the body after hacking it into pieces.

Raids were being conducted to nab the culprits, the IG added.
