Bombn scare at U T Civil Secretariat

Chandigarh, Mar 19 (UNI) Panic gripped Union Territory Civil Secretariat here today, following an anonymous telephone call that a bomb had been planted in the Secretariat building.

Immediately after the call was received around noon police swung into action and cordoned off the area.

Police have launched a massive search to locate the bomb, if any, with a help of sniffer dogs. Fire engines have been kept ready to meet any eventuality in the wake of the bomb scare.

The entire building has been evacuated, following the scare.
