Armyman attacked, pushed out of moving train

Chennai, Mar 19 (UNI) An Armyman was attacked and later shoved out of a moving train near the Chennai Beach Railway Station last night.

Police said Maruthapandi, who was on his way to his home town Madurai from Assam, was found with cut injuries by gangmen checking the tracks. He was later admitted to a hospital.

He was travelling alone in a compartment when an unidentified gang attacked him with sharp weapons, robbed his personal belongings and pushed him out of the train before making good the escape.
