Farmers have first right to country's wealth: Modi
Hubli, Mar 17 (UNI) Criticising Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's statement that minorities have a right to the country's wealth, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today said it was farmers who had first right to the country's wealth and sought a white paper on the measures taken by the UPA Government for farmers.
Speaking at a farmers' rally here, he said the Congress had suddenly become aware of the woes of the farmers and announced farm loan waiver.
''I demand that the UPA Government first come out with the details of statewise farmers' credits and put it before the people,'' the BJP leader said.
