Somnath assures Jayapradha of action on her concern

New Delhi, Mar 13 (UNI) Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee today assured Ms Jayapradha (SP) in the House that he would take ''necessary action'' on her letter about the attack on her office in Rampur Parliamentary constituency in Uttar Pradesh.

The Speaker said he would keep the House informed about his action as he was concerned about the rights of privileges of the Lok Sabha members.

Mr Chatterjee made the assurance after Mr Ramjilal Suman (SP) raised the issue during Zero Hour, blaming the March 8 attack on ruling BSP workers. He said a lot of damage was caused to the office during the hour-long attack, which forced security guard to flee the place.
