Thai Muslims protest outside Danish embassy against Prophet cartoons
Bangkok, Mar 12 (UNI) A large crowd of Thai Muslims rallied outside the Danish embassy here today to protest against the reprinting of the controversial Prophet Mohammad cartoons in Danish newspapers.
An estimated 500 people rallying under the banner of the Muslims Group for Peace raised shouts of 'Allah Akbar' outside the Danish embassy.
The group accused the Danish government of ignoring Muslim feelings and urged Thai Muslims to boycott Danish goods.
''We should do something more violent than just protest, but today we are keeping it peaceful,'' a group member was quoted as saying.
The protest ended peacefully with the group saying they were going to petition the Thai Foreign Minister on the issue.
