Former UP minister Sanjay Garg joins BSP
Deoband, Mar 9 (UNI) Former Uttar Pradesh Minister and Samajwadi Party senior leader Sanjay Garg today joined the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) after resigning from his party.
Mr Garg had been close to SP MP from Saharanpur and former union minister Rashid Masood.
Mr Garg was elected as MLA from Saharanpur Legislative Assembly seat in 1996 and 2002. This time, allegedly because of some SP leaders, he lost the seat to BJP candidate Raghav Lakhan.
Mr Garg told UNI that on March 3 he met BSP president and Chief Minister Mayawati in Lucknow who assured him that the Government, according to his wish, would take proper care of the developments in Saharanpur.
