Two held for threatening auto-driver at gun point
Chennai, Mar 8 (UNI) Two persons were arrested by the police on the charges of threatening an auto-driver at gun point in suburban Kodungaiyur today.
Police sources said the auto driver Perumal, had inadvertently driven the vehicle close to the two-wheeler driven by the duo. A wordy duel ensued, leading to commotion.
As the auto driver was shoved by the duo, fellow autodrivers, who were in the parking stand, intervened. The duo brandished a country-made gun and a knife and threatened them.
However, the auto drivers, with the help of the public, overpowered Venkatesah (40) and Hari (30) and handed them over to the police.
The weapons were seized and police were questioning to find out whether they were part of any rowdy gang.
