Re-polling in 43 polling stations ended in Nagaland
Kohima, Mar 7 (UNI) An estimated over 80 per cent voters exercised their franchise in the re-polling to 43 polling stations, out of 47 polling stations ordered by the Election Commission, which ended at 1600 hrs today.
Chief Electoral Officer C J Ponraj told mediapersons the re-polling to the 43 polling stations went off smoothly without any incidence of violence.
He said the re-scheduled re-polling in one polling station in Aghunato, one in Satakha and two in Suruhoto could not take place today due to transportation problem.
However, the re-polling to the four polling stations would be taken up tomorrow, he added.
Mr Ponraj also informed that the polling officials for the four polling stations were airlifted and they had reached their respective polling stations.
