Two killed as DMU rams into three wheeler
Hoshiarpur, Mar 6 (UNI) Two people were killed when a DMU (train) rammed into a three wheeler at a level crossing near Basiala, close to Gharshankar town.
The deceased were identified as driver of three-wheeler Santokh Singh of Bhajlan and Kulwinder Lal of Rasoolpur.
According to the police sources, unmindful of a DMU coming from the Garhshankar side, the driver of the three-wheeler was crossing the track when the accident occurred.
The DMU hit the vehicle and dragged it up to half a kilometre.
The DMU was bound for Jalandhar from Jaijon terminus.
After taking the bodies of the deceased in its possession, the GRP has sent them for post mortem.
