Three killed, 3 injured in road accident in TN

Tuticorin, Mar 6 (UNI) Three members of a family, including a boy were killed on the spot and three critically injured when a car in which they were travelling rammed into the rearside of a stationary lorry near Ottapidaram on the Tuticorin-Madurai highway today.

Police said the occupants of the car were proceeding to Madurai to purchase clothes for a family function, when the accident occurred.

The deceased were identified as Sankaralingam (60), his wife S Palaniyammal (56) and their grandson S Natarajan (7).

The injured were admitted to a private hospital here, police added.
