Sell milk and paanipuris, drive taxis: MNS tells Marathi youth
Mumbai, Mar 4 (UNI) The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) is endeavouring to encourage Maharashtrian youth to take up distribution of milk, selling ''paanipuris'' and driving taxis -- the businesses which have been dominated by north Indian migrants here.
MNS spokesman Shirish Parkar told UNI, ''We have given Paanipuri handcarts to a few people in Navi Mumbai while around 40 youth have taken up milk distribution in Ghatkoper.'' ''We want to start a training centre,'' Mr Parkar said while elaborating on the MNS plan to exhort Maharastrian youth to take up these jobs.
Likewise, most of those employed as security guards here in the metropolis are north Indians and Mr Parkar said the MNS would inquire into the antecedents of these people from the security agencies which have employed them.
