RBI posts formats for foreign banks on its website

Mumbai, Mar 4 (UNI) The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has posted on its website, www.rbi.org.in formats of application for opening of maiden branches or representatives by foreign banks.

The Apex Bank, in a release, said this was in response to the requests received from foreign banks as also to simplify procedures and to make information easily accessible.

The formats could be accessed from 'forms' section of the site, the RBI added.
