Police exchange fire with ultras in Palamu
Daltonganj, Mar 4 (UNI) Police engaged in a fierce gun battle with CPI(Maoist) ultras in Jharkhand's Palamu district late last night.
However, no casualty was reported in the three-hour long encounter.
About 50 armed ultras attacked on Lathaiyya police picket under Chhatrpur police station of the district and six hundred bullets were fired by the extremists police said adding they fired more than 500 bullets in the encounter.
Senior police officials rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation.
