PM lauds Team India's performance
New Delhi, Mar 4 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today congratulated the Indian cricket team for its outstanding victory against Australia.
Speaking in the Rajya Sabha in the midst Motion of Thanks on President's Address, the Prime Minister said he was sending his ''warmest congratulations to the cricket team'' for its great show at Gabba, Brisbane where Men in Blue beat the Aussies in a thrilling encounter.
He also lauded the performance of the Indian colts who lifted the under 19-World Cup at Kuala Lumpur.
Congress member Rajiv Shukla who is also the BCCI vice-president also hailed the performance of the cricketers.
