DHD Dhimasa group in capital for dialogue for its demands
New Delhi, Mar 4 (UNI) A high-powered eight-member delegation from the DHD Dhimasa, led by its Chief Deelip Nunisa has come here for dialogue with the Centre to raise their long-standing demands.
Talking to UNI, Mr Nunisa said the previous NDA government had assured them many things but even a single out of that has not been implemented.
He regretted that even this present UPA Government assured many things to them but till date they have not taken up a single issue.
One of the most important issues is to secure full statehood within the Indian Union.
The DHD Dhimasa group is actively operating in the Horth Cachar Hills and Karbi Anglong areas of Assam.
The group are now keen to have a one-to-one dialogue with the External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Information And Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi and Congress president and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi before having any fresh round of talks with the Centre, they added.
