BJYM against Periyar's bust in UP

Lucknow, Mar 4 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Youth Morcha today decried Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati's plan of installing the bust of Periyar at Dr Bheem Rao Ambedkar Samajik Parivartan Sthal's museum here.

BJP Youth Morcha's state unit president Daya Shankar Singh said ''the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) wants to instal the idol of Periyar, who was anti-Lord Ram.'' ''The party would never allow this to happen,'' he added.

This decision of Ms Mayawati has hurt the sentiments of Hindus, Mr Singh noted.
