AP Govt to award four panchayats for ban on liquor

Hyderabad, Mar 4 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Government would award Rs one lakh each to four village panchayats for enforcing total prohibition recently, following an assurance given by Government-Committee Chairman Uppuluri Mallikarjuna Sarma to Lok Satta Party(LSP) delegation here today.

LSP presented copies of the resolutions passed by the panchayats banning liquor consumption in their villages and urged Mr Sarma to honour his promise, a press release said here.
