18 TRS Legislators resign from AP Assembly, Council

Hyderabad, Mar 4 (UNI) Fifteen MLAs of the Telangana Rasthtra Samithi (TRs) resigned from the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and three party MLCs from the Legislative Council today.

They resigned in protest against delay in grant of statehood to Telanagana by the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance Government at the Centre.

While 15 TRS members submitted their resignation papers to Assmbly Speaker K R Suresh Reddy, three TRS MLCs put in their papers to Council Chairman K Chakrapani.
