SC stays transfer under Chhattisgarh HC order
New Delhi, Feb 29 (UNI) The Supreme Court today stayed the transfer of a forest ranger by the minister concerned at the instance of an MLA under the order of Chhattisgarh High Court.
A bench comprising Justices A K Mathur and Aftab Alam also issued notices to S J Srivastava on a petition filed by the state of Chhattisgarh against the High Court order dated November 21, 2007, staying the operation of the transfer order dated August 16, 2007.
The main question was whether a minister can order the transfer of an employee. The apex court will consider the issue.
