Lawyers on a two-day strike, protest court fee hike
Patna, Feb 28 (UNI) Over 10,000 practising lawyers at Patna High Court today went on a two-day strike protesting against the hike in court fee.
Convenor of the coordination committee of all three associations of the court, Yogesh Chandra Verma, said here that the advocates abstained from their professional duties and will continue with it tomorrow.
He alleged that the hike was arbitrary, unjustified and unreasonable and demanded its immediate withdrawal.
Mr Verma further said the agitating advocates would march to the Bihar Assembly tomorrow if their demands were not fulfilled.
