300 Korean Buddhists worship in Lumbini
Kathmandu, Feb 28 (UNI) A team of 300 Korean monks worshipped at Lumbini, the birth place of Lord Buddha.
The team of worshippers who visited Nepal are a group that is visiting 108 temples in the world.
They visited Lumbini, and lit candles and worshipped at Maya Devi Temple.
Minister for Foreign Affairs Sahana Pradhan also attended the worship at Lumbini. The tour was organised by Service for Peace.
The team also visited Pokhara and paid homage at Shanti Stupa and performed puja at Swoyambhu in Kathmandu.
General secretary of Service for Peace said 7,000 monks would visit Nepal in two years.
Majority of the population in Nepal are Hindus.
