Two dead, three sick of over-drinking at marriage party
Barnala, Feb 25 (UNI) Two people died and three fell seriously ill following excessive drinking at a marriage party in Attar Singh Walla village in this district last night, police today said.
The five were among the guests enjoying country liquor served after marriage of Didar Singh. Five of the guests drank so much liquor that they fell unconscious and had to be rushed to the hospital, SHO Rajesh Chhibbar said.
While two, Beant Singh, 60, and Phulla Singh 35, died, two others were hospitalised and one was sent home after treatment, he said.
Police have registered a case under section 174 of CrPC.
