8 naxals killed, five injured in four encounters: Pasricha
Mumbai, Feb 25 (UNI) A total of eight Naxals were killed and five injured in four encounters with police last week in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra, state Director-General of Police P S Pasricha said today.
A huge quantity of arms and ammunition, including grenades, double-barrel gun, country-made revolvers and cartridges were seized, he added. speaking at a felicitation function, organised by the Crime Reporters' Association for him and Mumbai Police Commissioner D N Jadhav, who were retiring from service on February 29.
In one of the encounters, a policeman was killed, the DGP said.
