Advocate hacked to death

Chennai, Feb 22 (UNI) In a daring daylight attack,an advocate was hacked to death by an unidentified gang at the Egmore Metropolitan Magistrate court complex this evening.

Police said previous enmity was believed to be the reason for killing advocate Rajni (35).

The deceased was the son-in-law of former DMK MLA Chengai Sivam.

The group, armed with lethal weapons and sharp instruments, waylaid him and attacked him indiscriminately. They fled the scene later.

The advocate, who sustained multiple cut injuries all over his body, bled to death on the spot.

The body was taken to the Government General Hospital for post mortem.
