Raj BJP, Cong to resolve ''violation of const provisions''

Jaipur, Feb 21 (UNI)The ruling BJP and Opposition Congress have agreed to resolve amicably their differences over the issue of ''violation of constitutional provisions'' in appointment of Parliamentary Secretaries which had marred the proceedings in the Rajasthan Assembly for past three days.

Deputy Speaker Ram Narain Vishnoi made an announcement to this effect in the assembly today. He said the chamber meeting was held between Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and Leader of the Opposition Hemaram Chaudhary over the issue and they agreed to resolve the issue amicably through a House Committee.

Mr Vishnoi said a committee comprising members from both the sides was being constituted to find solution to the controversy keeping the Advocate General's opinion over the issue.

The deadlock over the issue had marred the proceedings of the House since the opening of the budget session on Februay 18. Even Governor Shilendra Kumar Singh's inaugural speech was also disrupted due to walk out by the Opposition over the issue.
