Jet Airways-IBS deal for crew management
Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 21 (UNI) Jet Airways has entered into an agreement with the IBS Software, a leading provider of new generation IT solutions to the global Travel, Transportation and Logistics (TTL) industry, for implementing crew management system ''Avientcrew''.
With this implementation, Jet Airways became the first in the Indian aviation industry to use ''AvientCrew'' to handle mission-critical flight operations, an IBS release said today.
AvientCrew, a sophisticated crew management system, provides an integrated solution that enhances decision support capability to support the crew management needs of Jet Airways, V K Mathews, Chairman and CEO, IBS Group said.
'Our solutions are cost-effective and offer airlines the flexibility and scalability to gear their business to remain competitive in a rapidly evolving market,'' he said.
AvientCrew helps airlines manage their crew and optimise crew utilisation and enhance productivity right from initial planning through to the day of operation. It enables easy viewing and manipulation of pairing rosters crew data and fast system enquiry. It provides crew management decision support functions that are effective in solving a wide range of problems by real time simulation and advanced ''what if'' capabilities. The system improves crew productivity through pairing and rostering optimisation and reduces disruptions due to obsence of crew, the release added.
