Two killed, Nepali labourer injured in Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 20 (UNI) Two people were killed and a Nepali labourer was injured while a migrant's house was damaged overnight in the Kashmir valley, official sources said today.

They said a vehicle hit and injured one Shabir Ahmad Ganie at Frisal Chowk in Kulgam in south Kashmir. The injured died on the way to hospital, they said.

Shopian Police recovered the body of a 20-year-old, Fayaz Ahmad Rather, at Checki Sadpora in Pulwama district. The cause of his death was not immediately known, they said.

A Nepali worker of Hindustan Construction Corporation was injured when he was hit by a stone during blasting in a tunnel at Uri. The injured was admitted to Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences at Soura here in critical condition.

A fire broke out in a double-storeyed residential house of a migrant Sunil Kumar Raina at Abalwani Shopian, Pulwama, causing partial damage to it. The cause of the fire was not immediately known, they said.
