Tata Motors and Punjab govt to set up driving institute
New Delhi, Feb 19 (UNI) Tata Motors Ltd and the government of Punjab today signed an agreement for setting up a State Institute of Automotive and Driving Skills (SIADS).
Tata will invest Rs 2.5 crore, while Punjab government will contribute Rs 10.17 crore to set up the institute.
The MoU was signed by Chief Minister of Punjab Parkash Singh Badal and Tata Motors Managing Director Ravi Kant.
The objective of the institute is to provide training to the youth of Punjab and in turn, enhance the employability.
The institute will be set up in an area of 14 acres at Mahuanaa.
