E-Governance will convert J

Jammu, Feb 19 (UNI) Introduction of e-governance in the state of Jammu and Kashmir would convert it into ''paradise'' on earth again, Col Sanjeev Kaul, member Zeeten Cybernetics group of companies, said today.

Col Kaul said the company, under the title ''Bhumidoot'', has successfully launched e-governance in many states of the country, for their welfare and development.

''If e-governance will be incorporated in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, it will turn the table and from 'troubled state', J&K will be a 'prosperous' and 'paradise state''once again,'' Col Kaul said.

He said the state of Jammu and Kashmir was interested in bringing e-governance here and the proposal was set up in the year 2004 but it could be not be forwarded.

''According to the reports, Jammu and Kashmir is said to be one of the corrupt states in India and I am sure that e-governance will bring a drastic change and convert it into corruption free-state,'' Col Kaul said adding that an autonomous body taking care of e-governance is required to be set up in the state.

Computerisation of land record, computerisation of property record, mandi information and management, municipal corporation, rto, education management, social management, social security, tourism, disaster management, public grievances, lost and found, police tracking system, darbar move issues, are the areas of interest in which e-governance can be made applicable, he said.
